Enduro Coat Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating is a one-part, heat-curable, thermosetting epoxy coating designed for corrosion protection. The epoxy is applied to preheated steel as a dry powder, which melts and cures to a uniform coating thickness. This bonding process offers excellent adhesion and coverage on panels, pipe, and angle iron and associated fittings. Enduro Coat is resistant to corrosive soils, harsh chemicals, hydrocarbons and sea water. Powdered coating is applied in a controlled environment within the factory.

Powder Coating Advantages

  • Tarsco utilizes a two-part powder coat thermal cross-link system to ensure adhesion from the base coat to the exterior color chosen for the top coat.
  • Factory-applied powder coatings exhibit performance that cannot be duplicated with field-applied coatings
  • Powder coatings protect over a wide temperature range

Powder Coatings–Quality Control

  • Each panel is 100 percent holiday tested and free of defects when it leaves the factory
  • Shipping pallets are built job specific and also built larger than panels to eliminate damage during transit
  • Panels are bolted to pallets in sequence of erection; this eliminates excessive handling of panels
  • Protective sheets are placed between panels when stacked on shipping pallets

Tarsco’s Coating Process

Stage One: The parts and sheets are degreased.

Stage Two: Surfaces are blasted with engineering grit; a rugged 3D surface topography is created for better powder coating performance.

Stage Three: Parts are powder coated in Enduro Coat; parts are then cured at a controlled temperature to maximize the cross-link bond of the epoxy particles.

Stage Four: Sheets are cured at a controlled temperature yielding the final product.

Enduro Coat is United States Environmental Protection Agency and United Kingdom National Water Council acceptable for use as a coating in contact with potable water. It also meets the requirements of American Water Works Association Standard C213 and C550.
