Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, management, coordination and execution of Projects. Projects are to include the fabrication, construction and subcontract management for steel plate structures and tanks. The Project Manager will be accountable for managing the team to deliver Project and contract goals and objectives in accordance with the safety, quality, financial and schedule requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with precontract efforts as needed.
- Reviews project proposal or bid plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Coordinates with Operations and Engineering teams to establish the work plan.
- Outlines work plan and assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project staff.
- Directs and coordinates activities and personnel to ensure the project progresses safely on schedule and within budget.
- Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others.
- Provides technical advice to resolve problems.
- Understands and manages contract requirements, and scope of responsibilities.
- Identifies and resolves conflict with scheduling, purchasing, construction etc.
- Cultivates good client relations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5 or more years of experience in the tank construction industry, with progressive responsibilities
- Must have Refinery and Terminal experience
- Painting/coating experience desired
- Experience working on Military contracts is a plus
- Bachelor degree in engineering or construction disciplines preferred
- Candidates with bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly desirable
