Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the configuration, operation and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics, GP across all TF Warren sites in Canada and USA. In addition, this position works as a part of the IT department to provide technical support and guidance on a variety of IT issues. Located in Brantford, this position will be the first point of contact for technical support for the three sites based in Brantford, Ontario. Supports other TF Warren facilities as required.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setup, configure and test Dynamics GP to address site business process requirements
  • Develop and test custom reports
  • Provide comprehensive end-user training to employees using the GP software
  • Provide technical support for GP issues across all sites
  • Provide general technical/IT support as needed, including after-hours support
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures; report and communicate with stakeholders and management
  • Collaborate with IT department on other projects and in the development of IT policies and procedures
  • Analyze existing technology solutions and recommend improvements and efficiencies where possible
  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders across the organization to determine existing technology process delivery gaps and recommend improvements
  • Scheduled to work after hours and weekends, as required

Qualifications

Competencies

  • 3+ years’ experience in the support and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics GP in an industrial environment
  • Advanced or expert level with Microsoft Dynamics, GP is essential, including experience with both front and back-end (server), custom configuration experience and report creation
  • Data migration experience from other ERP applications to Dynamics GP
  • Experience training new users on software, in particular Dynamics GP, hardware or technical issues and developing training support tools, such as manuals
  • Solid understanding of servers, network components and critical line of business applications
  • Ability to administer and deploy new systems as organizational needs require
  • Competent troubleshooter on a wide variety of issues and document and perform root cause analysis
  • Previous experience working with technology, servers, networks and line of business applications
  • Previous experience in a technical environment and incident and change management tools
  • Must take ownership until problem is resolved, be customer service focused and be a self-starter. The qualified candidate will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant industry training or certification
  • Microsoft certifications, including Dynamics GP certification
  • Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and/or SharePoint administration experience is a plus
  • Self-motivated to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills

 

Required Travel

  • Approximately 25% international travel, but more travel may be required initially
  • Must have required documentation and ability to enter USA
