Develops and prepares detailed drawings of designs and plans according to specifications provided by the engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works directly with design engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images.
• Calculates tolerance stack-ups to verify design fit-up.
• Designs parts based on written and verbal descriptions from design engineers.
• Works closely with all departments in the plant to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information and are error free.
• Works from customer drawings, company drawings, government drawings or specifications.
• Develops 3D models and prepares detail drawings according to specifications provided by the engineer.
• Create 3D models using CAD software
• Uses engineering and drawing standards as guidelines.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

• Associates degree in design drafting
• 3-5 years of related design experience
• Proficient in SolidWorks
